Başakşehir Innovation and Technology Center (Başakşehir Living Lab) is Turkiye's first certified Living Lab, located in Başakşehir, Istanbul. Established to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, the center provides a collaborative environment where new technologies, products, and services can be developed, tested, and validated with real users.

The facility hosts startup incubation programs, training courses, hackathons, research initiatives, smart city projects, and technology events. With entrepreneurs, students, researchers, and visitors using the center throughout the day, ensuring reliable security while maintaining an open and collaborative environment is a key operational priority.

Project background

The Innovation and Technology Center required continuous perimeter protection to secure the facility around the clock. Due to the building layout and surrounding infrastructure, several blind spots made traditional monitoring less effective, increasing the risk of unauthorized access going unnoticed. The objective was to implement an AI-powered video analytics solution capable of detecting perimeter breaches in real time and immediately notifying responsible personnel.

Solution

TRASSIR deployed an intelligent perimeter protection system designed to provide continuous automated monitoring across the facility.

The solution included:

    • 66 TRASSIR cameras (TR-D4121IR1 v6 2.8)
    • TRASSIR NeuroStation 8800R/64 server
    • TRASSIR Neuro Detector

TRASSIR Neuro Detector continuously analyzes video streams and monitors predefined perimeter zones 24/7. If unauthorized entry is detected, the system instantly generates alarms and automatically sends notifications to responsible personnel, enabling rapid response without constant manual monitoring.

The project was implemented in collaboration with ZNA Teknoloji, delivering an intelligent security solution tailored to the needs of a modern innovation center.

Results and impact

Following deployment, the Innovation and Technology Center significantly strengthened perimeter security through intelligent automation. The AI-powered solution now provides continuous protection of vulnerable perimeter areas, reducing dependence on manual monitoring while enabling immediate response to security events. Automated alerts help security personnel react quickly whenever unauthorized access is detected.
