Gemciler Güven Metal San. ve Tic. A.Ş. is a long-established industrial manufacturer based in Kahramanmaraş, Turkiye, with roots dating back to 1948. Originally founded as As Güven Bakır İş ve Koll. Şti for the production of copper sheets, the company expanded its operations over the decades to include copper rolls and strips in 1993 and evolved into its current form in 1997.

Specializing in the production of electrolytic copper and conductors, Gemciler Güven Metal has demonstrated continuous growth through ongoing investments and the adoption of modern, high-performance technologies. Today, the company is recognized as a leader in its sector and one of the prominent organizations within Turkish industry. Protecting extensive production and storage areas while maintaining operational continuity is therefore a critical priority.

Project background

Before implementing TRASSIR, the facility operated a conventional CCTV system primarily used for video recording and post-incident review. While the camera infrastructure was already in place, the system lacked intelligent analytics and relied heavily on human monitoring. Blind zones and human factors made it difficult to maintain consistent control over the perimeter, especially outside working hours.

The client sought to modernize the surveillance system without replacing existing cameras, focusing on automated perimeter protection based on predefined schedules. Another important requirement was the ability to generate timely alerts according to flexible rules, with future plans to activate deterrence mechanisms such as loudspeakers and floodlights during unauthorized access attempts.

Solution

The project was implemented together with TRASSIR’s partner KARE Bilgisayar Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. and their sub-integrator EFA Bilişim.

TRASSIR delivered a centralized and scalable solution built around its open-platform architecture, enabling advanced analytics while preserving the existing camera infrastructure.

The implemented solution included:

- TRASSIR VMS for centralized video management

- TRASSIR NeuroStation 8800R/64 as the core system server

- TRASSIR AnyIP INT licenses for multi-brand camera integration

- TRASSIR Neuro Detector for AI-based perimeter monitoring

Neuro Detector was configured to operate according to a predefined schedule, automatically activating perimeter protection during non-working hours. Detection rules can be flexibly adjusted by operators, ensuring accurate alerts while minimizing false positives. The system is also prepared for future integration with loudspeakers and lighting systems to provide active deterrence.

Results and impact

Following the deployment, Gemciler Güven Metal transitioned from passive surveillance to proactive perimeter security. Automated analytics now continuously monitor critical zones, reducing dependence on manual observation and improving response speed.

The facility now benefits from:

- Scheduled, automated perimeter protection

- Real-time alerts for unauthorized intrusions

- Reduced impact of blind zones and human factors

- Retention of existing camera investments

- Readiness for future deterrence and expansion

As a result, the client gained a reliable, intelligent, and future-ready security system aligned with industrial safety and operational requirements.
