Enhanced campus vehicle access control
Client profile
The client is a reputed international school in Bengaluru, India. The school campus serves a large community of students, teachers, administrative staff, and service personnel, making safety and access control a top priority. As part of its commitment to student protection and efficient campus operations, the school continuously invests in technologies that improve security while keeping daily processes simple and reliable.
Project background
With a steady flow of school buses, staff vehicles, parents’ cars, and service transport entering and exiting the school every day, its management wanted to strengthen campus vehicle access control and reduce the risks associated with manual gate checks.
Previously, guards verified vehicles manually, which was time-consuming and vulnerable to human error. It also made it difficult to quickly identify unauthorized or blacklisted vehicles and to maintain accurate logs of vehicle movements.
The management wanted a solution that could control the automatic boom barrier for school, generate reliable reports, and send real-time alerts for unauthorized vehicles to security teams instantly when suspicious or restricted vehicles appeared.
Project solution
TRASSIR implemented an automated ANPR boom barrier system based on AutoTRASSIR integrated with TRASSIR VMS.
The solution uses license plate recognition for access control and automatically regulates barriers based on vehicle whitelists and blacklists. It blocks blacklisted vehicles and alerts security teams when they are detected. All movements are recorded in the vehicle entry and exit log system, and data is automatically compiled into reports shared with operations and maintenance teams.
The system also sends real-time alerts to security officers through TRASSIR Client on Windows workstations and Android tablets, enabling quick response without the need for constant manual monitoring.
Project results
The school now benefits from a secure, automated, and transparent vehicle management process. School gate security automation has minimized the risk of unauthorized vehicle entry, manual checks have been significantly reduced, access control is faster and more reliable, and reporting accuracy is improved. The school has gained better visibility into daily traffic flows, improved reporting accuracy, and enhanced overall campus safety — creating a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors alike.
