Campus security upgrade for Caterpillar with TRASSIR
Caterpillar has strengthened industrial campus security at its Chennai facility with TRASSIR’s centralized video management system and perimeter protection solution.
Managing a large campus with multiple compound areas presents ongoing challenges related to unauthorized access, monitoring efficiency, and response time. The existing solution provided visual coverage but lacked intelligent alerts and a proactive perimeter intrusion detection system, limiting the security team’s ability to respond quickly to incidents.
TRASSIR delivered an integrated solution based on TRASSIR VMS and AI video analytics for security, enabling continuous monitoring and automated intrusion detection across the campus perimeter. The system generates real-time alerts for any perimeter breaches, allowing security personnel to respond immediately and prevent unauthorized entry.
Strategic camera placement ensured full coverage of vulnerable areas, while centralized monitoring simplified day-to-day operations and incident review. The solution was implemented without disrupting campus operations and was designed to be a scalable security system.
As a result, the campus now benefits from improved safety, reduced intrusion risks, and greater operational confidence.
