Advanced fire safety monitoring for Kayaşehir Millet Bahçesi

Kayaşehir Millet Bahçesi is one of the largest public green spaces in Istanbul, located in the district of Başakşehir. The park spans approximately
350,000 m² and serves as a major recreational destination for residents and visitors, offering extensive outdoor infrastructure including walking trails, cycling paths, landscaped gardens, sports areas, and public gathering zones.

The park features large open spaces, green areas, recreational facilities, and high daily visitor traffic. Due to its scale and outdoor environment, ensuring public safety and effective monitoring across the entire territory is a critical operational priority.


Project background


Due to the scale and open nature of the park, traditional fire safety systems alone could not provide full coverage across all areas. Large outdoor zones and expansive public spaces presented challenges for early fire and smoke detection, particularly in locations where installing conventional physical fire detectors was impractical or impossible.


The main objective of the project was to strengthen fire safety monitoring across the park by implementing an intelligent video-based detection system capable of identifying fire and smoke incidents in real time and enabling faster response.


Solution


TRASSIR deployed a large-scale intelligent surveillance solution designed to provide reliable monitoring across the entire park infrastructure.


The solution included:

• 128 TRASSIR cameras (TR-D2121IR3 v6 2.8)
• TRASSIR NeuroStation 8800R/160-A8-S servers
• TRASSIR Neuro Fire and Smoke Detector

The system was designed to deliver continuous visual monitoring and AI-powered fire detection across open areas, recreational zones, and critical infrastructure points throughout the park. 
TRASSIR Neuro Fire and Smoke Detector became the core element of the deployment, enabling intelligent detection of fire and smoke in areas where conventional fire detection systems would be difficult to deploy effectively.

The project was implemented in collaboration with TRASSIR partner
ZNA Teknoloji.

Results and impact


Following deployment, Kayaşehir Millet Bahçesi significantly strengthened its fire safety monitoring capabilities across the entire park. 
The AI-powered detection system now enables earlier identification of fire and smoke risks, improving response speed and helping security teams react before incidents escalate. This is especially valuable in large open public areas where rapid detection can greatly reduce safety risks.
