Saudi Arabia
Automated vehicle access control for AMS Baeshen & Co.
Client profile
AMS Baeshen & Co. is one of Saudi Arabia’s oldest and most established food and beverage manufacturers, headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Best known for its flagship Rabea tea brand, the company operates the country's largest tea factory and only dedicated tea laboratory, producing a wide range of tea products for the regional market.
As a modern manufacturing business with advanced production facilities and continuous vehicle movement, the company places strong emphasis on operational efficiency, secure site access, and reliable infrastructure to support day-to-day operations.
Project background
As part of the development of a new facility, the client required a modern, cost-effective video surveillance solution that would go beyond traditional CCTV. A key requirement was to automate vehicle access to the site's parking area while maintaining full visibility over incoming and outgoing traffic. Previously, barriers were operated manually, creating unnecessary delays and increasing operator workload.
The objective was to implement an AI-powered surveillance system capable of recognizing authorized license plates, recording vehicle movements, and enabling seamless access control through an integrated parking management solution.
Solution
TRASSIR deployed an intelligent surveillance and vehicle access solution combining video management, automatic license plate recognition, and parking automation.
The solution included:
• TRASSIR TR-D2253WDZIR7 v2 cameras
• TRASSIR NeuroStation 8200R/32-S
• AnyIP licenses
• AutoTRASSIR Parking
Using AutoTRASSIR Parking, the system automatically recognizes authorized vehicle license plates and enables barrier control directly from the control room. At the same time, every vehicle entering and leaving the site is recorded, providing a complete log of parking activity for improved security and operational oversight.
The implementation included operator training, hardware installation by a system integrator, configuration with support from the TRASSIR service team, and final testing before commissioning. Minor integration challenges related to the parking barrier were resolved during deployment. This project was completed in collaboration with Horizon Informatics Trading Company.
Results and impact
Following implementation, the manufacturing facility gained an automated and reliable vehicle access management system that improves both security and operational efficiency. The solution eliminates manual barrier operation for authorized vehicles while providing accurate records of every vehicle entering and exiting the premises. Security personnel can now manage parking access more efficiently, reduce routine manual tasks, and maintain better visibility over site traffic.
Key benefits include:
• Automated license plate recognition for authorized vehicles
• Barrier control integrated with parking management
• Accurate recording of vehicle entry and exit events
• Reduced manual intervention for access control
• Improved operational efficiency at the facility entrance
• Reliable AI-powered surveillance for parking security
The project demonstrates how intelligent video analytics can simplify access management while enhancing security for modern industrial facilities.
