Intelligent security for Ata Sporları Merkezi
Client profile
Ata Sporları Merkezi is a modern government-operated sports complex located in Halkalı, Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, Turkiye, operating under the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports. Opened in 2024, the center was established to preserve and promote traditional Turkish sports while serving as a modern venue for training, competitions, youth programs, and talent development initiatives.
The facility combines traditional sports infrastructure with advanced modern amenities, including training halls, sports studios, event spaces, and outdoor activity zones. Due to the scale of the complex and the continuous movement of visitors, staff, and athletes, the site requires intelligent security, visitor monitoring, and advanced safety systems.
Project background
As a large public sports complex with high daily footfall and multiple operational zones, Ata Sporları Merkezi required a modern surveillance and analytics infrastructure capable of ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and perimeter security.
The key challenges included securing the perimeter during non-operational hours, monitoring visitor flow across the complex, and improving fire safety across both indoor and outdoor areas. Manual monitoring alone was insufficient for managing such a large and dynamic environment. The objective was to deploy an intelligent TRASSIR-based solution that could provide automated perimeter protection, visitor analytics, and advanced fire and smoke detection while minimizing false alarms and improving response times.
Solution
TRASSIR deployed a comprehensive AI-powered surveillance and analytics solution in collaboration with ZNA Teknoloji.
The solution included:
• 160 TRASSIR TR-D2253WDZIR7 v2 2.7–13.5 cameras
• 2 × TRASSIR NeuroStation 8800R/160-A8-S
• Neuro Detector
• Neuro Counter
• Face Recognition
• Neuro Fire and Smoke Detector
The infrastructure was designed to provide complete visibility across the complex, covering critical zones including perimeter areas, entrances, activity spaces, and shared public zones.
TRASSIR Neuro Detector was implemented to strengthen perimeter protection. Using intelligent scheduling and customized detection rules, the system automatically activates during designated periods and detects unauthorized entry with high accuracy and minimal false alarms. When an intrusion occurs, alarms are immediately generated and sent to responsible personnel. Additionally, through camera alarm outputs, loudspeakers are automatically triggered for instant on-site response.
Neuro Counter was deployed to track visitor numbers and provide automated reports at predefined intervals, giving management clear visibility into visitor flow and facility usage patterns.
For additional safety, TRASSIR Neuro Fire and Smoke Detector was implemented to provide early fire and smoke detection across both indoor facilities and outdoor areas, helping security teams respond quickly to potential hazards.
Results and impact
Following deployment, Ata Sporları Merkezi significantly improved security, operational visibility, and safety across the entire complex. Perimeter protection became more proactive through intelligent intrusion detection and automated alerts. Visitor analytics provided better insights into facility usage, while advanced fire and smoke detection added an additional layer of safety for staff and visitors.
Key benefits include:
• Intelligent perimeter protection with automated scheduling
• Real-time alerts for unauthorized entry
• Automatic loudspeaker activation during intrusion events
• Accurate visitor counting and automated reporting
• Enhanced fire and smoke detection across indoor and outdoor areas
• Faster incident response and improved situational awareness
The project successfully delivered a modern security ecosystem capable of supporting both public safety and efficient facility management in a high-traffic sports environment.
