What kind of security system is required for smart indoor parking?
When you get to the parking lot after a long day at work, your biggest hope is easy access to a free parking space in a secure, guarded facility. At the same time, you want as little to do with complex systems of coupons, cards, and payments as possible. All you need is comfort and security.
TRASSIR offers a complete solution for smart indoor parking areas. It is based on the application of CCTV cameras that receive an image which is subsequently processed by the AutoTRASSIR (LPR) module: this parking access module provides admission to the territory.
How does it work? AutoTRASSIR (LPR) recognizes license plates from different angles. If the car is whitelisted, the access script grants entry. With the help of a convenient application, the car owner can easily find a free parking space using parking spot status verification. There are additional bonuses for indoor parking management - no keys or cards since the AutoTRASSIR system “recognizes” whitelisted cars. The system is flexible: more functions and modules can be added.
It is beneficial for indoor parking management: costs are reduced due to the nearly complete absence of employees; no production of access cards or keys; customer satisfaction increases as time to find a parking space decreases.
This solution has been successfully implemented at Haliç University in Istanbul. For parking convenience, 8 AutoTRASSIR 30 modules were used at checkpoints to automate the entry and exit of cars to the territory of the educational institution using approved lists (about 700 cars).
