What kind of security system is required for logistics centers?

The operation of logistics centers requires promptly acquiring and consolidating such a huge amount of data that it is impossible without a security system.

Staff and perimeter monitoring, operations management, transport management - it takes a large amount of employees to collect and transmit data and a minimum of errors.

To manage transport and perimeter access, TRASSIR NeuroStation video surveillance system works as a team with the AutoTRASSIR (LPR) module. They can recognize cars from the white-list, while the TRASSIR ACS system gives access. At the same time, data on arrival time, length of stay, and route inside the perimeter is collected for further processing at the warehouse, security service, quality department, etc.

Personnel monitoring helps ensure safety as TRASSIR Face Recognition and TRASSIR ACS determine who is on site and in permitted areas and tracks employee movement, while TRASSIR Wear Detector and TRASSIR Hard Hat Detector monitor whether employees comply with safety requirements. Employee monitoring must be combined with the warehouse operation system and surveillance of the movement of warehouse stock to investigate incidents involving loss, damage or theft of goods.

The TRASSIR security system can be even used on the basis of an existing local system, like when it was implemented for Saudi Logistics Services (SAL), the leading air cargo operator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The objective was to replace and improve the existing security system used in the Dammam office. TRASSIR proposed a solution: NeuroStation 8800R/64 INT - 5 units and TRASSIR AnyIP - 300 units. The short-term results of the implementation were minimized financial losses and reduced payroll, prompt reaction to unauthorized territory access, and reliable protection for the high-risk logistics facility.

For the Middle Eastern global leader in manufacturing market leading non-woven fabric solutions, TRASSIR created a single surveillance system using all the company’s existing platforms and developed a scalable approach as the corporate standard. It was possible to combine surveillance, monitoring, accounting, and authorization for the unity of enterprise management, collection and storage of information.

For such complex organizations like logistics centers, TRASSIR successfully provides a capable control system.
