A PTZ camera can be included in an ActiveDome scene. ActiveDome is a module for automated control of PTZ cameras. You can use it to rapidly position a PTZ camera. The number of cameras in a scene may vary, but an ActiveDome scene always has at least one overview camera and one PTZ camera. The basic idea behind the module is to use information from objects in the overview camera's frames to control the PTZ camera, regardless of their relative orientation.
To control the PTZ camera in an ActiveDome scene:
- Go to the window for an overview camera in the ActiveDome scene (these cameras are indicated with a ).
- Activate the ActiveDome scene by clicking on the . In this case it will change the color.
- Change the PTZ camera's position in one of the following two ways:
- simply click with the mouse in the overview camera's window. The selected location will be displayed at the desired scale in the PTZ camera's window;
- or highlight a rectangular area of the overview camera's window. The selected area will fill the PTZ camera's entire screen.
