The module analyzes the video from any camera with clearly distinguishable faces of the people, including partially hidden. To increase the quality of work, follow the recommendations shown below.

Recommendations for choosing a camera and its setting up:

  • To work with the plugin, it is recommended to use a camera with a varifocal lens that will allow you to zoom the shooting area in or out without changing the camera position. It is not recommended to use fish-eye lens cameras.
  • The camera should be set to the minimal shutter speed and minimal GOP.
  • Use the camera with any resolution, but the size of the face in the frame should be more than 128px.

Recommendations for choosing of camera mounting location and survey area lighting:

  • The survey area where faces are detected must be well lit. The presence of shadows on the face or excessive light will significantly reduce the probability of recognition of the person.
  • The shooting direction should be such that people's faces would look directly at the camera lens. A slight rotation of the camera horizontally or vertically is allowed, but not more than 30 degrees.
